Description

Description

This former car showroom, located on Lisbon's riverfront, has been fully rehabilitated to an office building. Now accommodates 14 of WPP´s companies that are spread across 8 floors.

 

The building with 3 fronts has a main entrance located at Av. 24 de Julho, facing the Riverfront.

 An indented floor and an outdoor terrace, as well as vertical access cores and technical areas were added.

The facades and all architectural elements that as characterized this early XX century construction were maintained and properly recovered: light / dark games achieved through bounces and stereotomy marking on the plasterwork, the expression of the window frames, the front floor is recessed and glazed, etc.

Thus, it displays in a formalistic and decorative way some of the elements of modern construction, using few materials.
